Mechanics

1.       Any student currently enrolled in any of the participating universities (Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University) are eligible to join Project: Motion.

2.       Graduate students also eligible to join Project: Motion.

3.       Application forms are available from ACOMM (AdMU) or TeamComm (DLSU) representatives. It can also be downloaded online at projectmotion0910. tumblr.com or the Project Motion Facebook page. There should be one application form per entry.

4.       Application period is from November 23, 2009 to January 16, 2010.

5.       Contestants can submit multiple entries.

6.       Repetition of entries within categories (e.g., one print ad entry is the same as one of the print ads in the campaign entry) is not allowed.

7.       There are four categories:

a.      Print

b.      Radio

c.      Television commercial

d.      Campaign

8.      A campaign consists of any of the three media:

a.      Print

b.      Radio

c.      Television commercial

9.     A maximum of three members can enter into any of the categories. The names of all of the members should be included in the application form. However, there should only be one contact person per team.

10.   Each advertisement should revolve around any of the following themes:

a.      Environmental activism

b.      Human trafficking

c.      Pinoy pride

11.    Each of the entries should be done according to the themes’ corresponding non-government organizations (NGOs) but should not include the NGO’s logo unless the contestant is contacted by the organizers. The NGOs for the themes are:

a.      WWF-Philippines for Environmental activism
b.      Visayan Forum for Human trafficking
c.      Yabang Pinoy for Pinoy Pride

12.    The contestants with winning entries will be contacted by the organizers for the inclusion of the NGO’s logo. Only the winning entries should include the NGO’s logo.

13.    Entries should be submitted in a CD to representatives from ACOMM (AdMU) or TeamComm (DLSU). Contestants can also submit their entries (via attachment or through sendspace) online to acommprojectmotion@ yahoo.com in the following formats:

14.    Deadline for entries is on January 16, 2010.

15.    Finalists will be contacted by the first week of February 2010 for the inclusion of the NGO’s logo in their entries. Winners will be announced during the launch of the exhibit and awarding ceremony on February 20, 2010.

Big prizes await! All of the winning advertisements will be displayed in a week-long public exhibit. Winning television commercials will be aired on Channel V Philippines.
